Hi, my name is Luis and I am a drummer and producer living in Miami but originally from Managua, Nicaragua. I have been a student of music for 11 years. My musical influences include everything from Led Zeppelin, Pixies to Foo Fighters or Biffy Clyro in the rock realm but I also love hip-hop like Kendrick Lamar, Outkast, or A Tribe Called Quest. My teaching style can best be described as proactive, I think learning is only internalized through exploration of what you actually want to learn. I hope to not only teach an instrument or a DAW but to listen to songs, musicians, and your own mind. In my lessons, you can expect to learn everything from rudiments, precision with a metronome, finding musicians close to you to even exploring band or musical concepts. I can also teach a little piano and vocal exercises too! What I enjoy most about the process is finding out what my students want to do with their music, so if there's anything to be taken from my lessons, is that you will challenge and enjoy yourself.
