I have not set down the trombone since I was 12 in sixth grade. It has grown into my passion. It has influenced me in so many ways to stay healthy, grow as a person, and has helped me develop professionalism that others struggle to have around my age and stage in life. With it, music has impacted me in many ways, too. It has helped me develop friendships that have taught me many lessons. With these friendships came opportunities. I have received private lessons in college, where up until then I was fully self-taught. Some accomplishments I have made before I took lessons are listed: Multiple 1st Chairs in All-County/All-District in the Southeastern Band Director's Association State Level Preparation and Audition Placements Multiple 1st Chairs in the UNCP Honor Band Performances of Solo Works at Student Recitals at Methodist University I have helped and taught many friends who ask me for help with trombone, giving unofficial lessons which have boosted my understanding of lesson planning and how to pick apart problems and reiterate solutions in a comprehendible way, while being engaging and hopefully likable.
