Hello! My name is pronounced La-Nay. I have taught piano for 20+ years and received the National Piano Guild for Studios award as an Honor Teacher several times while I carried 63 students. To get that award 90% of your students have to receive the highest mark in 3 areas-Performance, their technical skills, and a theory test. To get there I carefully plan the year so they have had enough opportunities to do things outside the Guild testing that when it comes it is easy and natural. I thrive on recitals designed for the students to have fun. Costume recitals, Christmas Recitals, Recitals at Restaurants for tips, and recitals at the park. I want our studio to feel like a support group. I also want to learn what we need to so we advance. Welcome to the team, I look forward to meeting you.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Theory on computer. Beginning students this is just like learning to read. The more you read the better you will be at picking up any music. I have a library in which I loan books for extra reading. Not your regular planned lesson materials. I have a bag I make, it will have your name on it. You will be earning patches for your bag. Your bag is for carrying your music in.
