Hi, my name is Joseph and I am a 22-year-old jazz drummer and pianist from Cincinnati Ohio. I have been a student of music for 15+ years, and am currently studying jazz at the nationally/internationally renowned University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I have a strong background in marching percussion as well as mallets and auxiliary percussion. I began playing and learning piano at the age of 6, and soon after began learning and playing the drums. I draw my musical influence from all styles and genres of music. My teaching style can best be described as adaptable and patient. I like to keep it positive, and I love to see my students grow in their musical pursuits. In my drum lessons, you can expect to learn things like technique, musical approach, rudiments, reading music, posture, creative expression, drum tuning, and more. In my piano lessons, you can expect to learn things like technique, posture, music theory, reading music, and more. I like to tell my students to never give up, and you never know what you are capable of until you try! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students grow. My students love that I keep it fun while helping them grow. I primarily teach drums, but I can also teach piano.
