Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am a vocal instructor from Canton Ohio. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My teaching style can best be described as going all out to ensure my student’s voice improves and that they have fun doing it. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I will make sure you find confidence or help you strengthen the confidence you already have. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to sing in different styles, a little of the music theory behind what you’re singing, how to understand the song lyrically, and how to use your voice to empower music. I like to tell my students that music is like magic, you can get anyone to smile by singing their favorite song. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the smiles on my student’s faces and the excitement in their eyes after they sing something that feels good. My favorite performance was in college when I sang ‘New York State of Mind’ as a solo. My students love that I keep the fun in the lesson as well as the professionalism. I primarily teach younger students, but I can also teach adults. My approach as a teacher is to bring joy into the lives of everyone I touch with my lessons using the power of their own voices.
