Erik S.

Erik is from Arlington Texas, and has been in the music world for nearly 16 years. He has been teaching drums for the past 3 years. He has led worship as a worship drummer for several churches. These include in the DFW area, as well as Arkansas. He has also been involved in worship leading at District Youth Leadership Camp in Belize, Central America. He is a part of the traveling worship ministry Arts Collective, a collection of people with various talents such as music, as well as dance, that get to travel to churches all over the US, as well as internationally. He is currently attending Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, TX. He will be graduating this December with his a Bachelor of Practical Ministry Degree in Music/Worship Arts, as well as with a music Certification. Performance wise, besides playing drums for worship, he has experience in Jazz performance, as well as rock, contemporary Christian music, as well acoustic reggae. He has recently stepped into the Christian Metalcore world, and is the drummer for Dallas, TX band Colossae. He is proficient in drum chart sight reading, rudiments, playing with a metronome/click track. Besides the drum set, he is able to teach on various percussion instruments (cajon, djembe, bongos, etc.) He is looking forward to teaching through Taylor Robinson Music, and help musicians better develop their musical skills.
