Angie has always loved music from an early age. Her mother told her that she could sing before she even spoke her first words! She began her musical journey with private piano lessons at the age of 4, and when she was 10 years old, she decided that she wanted to play the flute as well! She continued playing the flute, throughout jr high and high school, then received a scholarship to the University of Oklahoma in Norman to further her flute studies. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 1989 BME K-12, and started her teaching and performing career. She has played the flute all over the world, but her favorite place was in Eisenstadt, Austria, where she fell in love with Classical and Romantic music. Her musical influences include Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. She has also played on stage with some of today's composers such as David Bowie, Philip Glass, and the Moody Blues! Angie's favorite thing about music is the way a student's eyes light up while they are learning to play! Her favorite thing about teaching music is at the end of each lesson.
