Sarah has been playing flute since 2000, and piccolo since 2002. From the very beginning, she knew she wanted to teach private lessons. Music and teaching are her passions. In high school, she made the Texas All-State Band three years in a row on piccolo and she was offered multiple scholarships for music when she applied to college. She attended UT Austin and played in the Longhorn Band, basketball band, and an eclectic ensemble in her honors program. Nowadays, she plays in the Longhorn Alumni Band to raise scholarship money for students and in the Perpetual Motion woodwind quintet. Lessons are tailored to your level and goals, from learning how to play the instrument, to improving tone and technique, to working on performance and audition pieces. Let's make it fun!

Took private lessons from Clare Johnson, former SMU professor.

Played in a symphonic band for eight years. All-Region band for six years. All-State band for three years.
