Hello, my name is Mr. Damon. I love music! I play guitar, write and perform as a singer/songwriter, I sing, play bass, and produce my own music. I am 22 and have been singing in church choirs, school choirs, worship teams, and my own bands for a total of 15 years. I have been playing guitar for 7 years, bass for 3, and have been writing songs since I could sing along. I play electric and acoustic and experiment with any new instrument I can find. Seeing people learn music, hearing what they play and bring to the instrument, whatever it may be, is an honor. And so much fun! I can work with all ages. I have taught my little brothers who are 8 and 10, keyboard lessons, ukulele lessons, and how to make ambient music with household instruments. I have another student, Wesley, who is 22 and learning guitar with very little musical background. Additionally, I have experience with special-needs individuals and worked as DSP for over a year. I teach people how to understand music in a way that works for them. Everyone has a different approach and requires different instruction. I find it best to have a highly flexible curriculum and do my best to ensure students work at the most effective pace. I have books and other practice materials that I can loan out anytime. My influences are very vast, spanning 50's, the 60s, and 70's classics to hyper experimental electronic, to jazz, folk music, bluegrass, and world music. I truly love bringing people a way to participate in the music that is around us every day.
