Hi, my name is Grady and I am a vocalist from Louisiana. I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences include classical music and I also enjoy Contemporary Rock and hip-hop and music that is usually described as “easy listening”. My teaching style can best be described as eccentric and exciting. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I always ask my students questions and engage through Socratic Seminar. In my lessons, you can expect to learn whatever songs you like to listen to! Chances are, I’m listening to the same thing and we can learn together! I like to tell my students learning music can be incredibly fun and we can try and learn every style of it. My favorite thing about teaching is looking back at all my hard work and seeing how far we have come together! My favorite performance was the first opera I ever in. I had a lot to learn but I’m so glad I did it!. My students love that I can be goofy and still teach fun lessons. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach ukulele and guitar!. My approach as a teacher is to always look after the well-being of the student. As long as they feel safe, sane, and secure then we’re ready to learn all the great things music has to offer.
