Cedric has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 3 and continued his education by playing with different musical groups. His musical influences include middle and high school bands. Cedric's favorite thing about music is feeling the rhythm and his favorite thing about teaching music is showing other people his passion for music. One of his favorite teaching experiences was when he student taught at his elementary school. When taking lessons with Cedric you can expect that he will make learning productive and fun. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
They can expect that I will break down everything. The basics of drumming will be the first thing that I will discuss and then I'll get into how to play with a group. I have had the most experience with percussion so I will be able to teach at a higher level.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner -
The first thing that will happen in the voice lessons are the warm ups and how to sing with correct vowels. I will also show them how to sing in a choir, understand the different voice levels, and how to sing different types of music.
Formal Education:
I have a high school diploma and I'm working on my degree in education at the University of West Florida.
Private Education:
I've had private drum lessons for 13 years.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in my middle and high school band and choir. I've also performed in honor bands, college bands, and have performed with Julliard. I have also performed at mulitple talent shows and have played at venues all around Florida. Especially Disney World!!
Experience Teaching:
I have taught at elementary and middle school music programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa County. I also student taught at Avon Elementary school during my senior year.
