Hi, my name is Dominick and I am a multi-instrumentalist from Pensacola Fl. I have been a student of music for over 12 years. My musical influences include covet, Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys, The National, The Smiths, and most indie in general. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the fundamentals, more advanced techniques, as well as an overall better ear for music. I primarily teach guitar but I can also teach the fundamentals of audio engineering. My approach as a teacher is to provide music hacks that allow my students to express their own sprouting style. Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
My students will begin learning the fundamentals of how notes interact with other notes, we then will begin learning chord shapes, moving on to all sorts of different strumming and picking techniques, guitar licks, finger tapping, and then we start learning the students favorite songs.
Formal Education:
In high-school I was in choir and theater club, performing at talent shows, and took music history in college, though most of my hands on education with music comes from a personal pursuit and passion spanning back since I was 14.
Private Education:
I'm the son of a lifelong singer-songwriter shredder of 30 years, heavy in the local punk scene of the early 2000s. I've been playing music since I was 14 (now 27). Meeting other musicians over the span of 12 years, and having inexperienced friends who aspired to be like their favorite artists, I've accumulated the tools necessary to be a fun, efficient, and comprehensible educator of many styles and techniques. I've spent years playing guitar, piano, bass, and working in studio editing and mixing tracks.
Experience Teaching:
I've spent years playing with friends and band mates. I've taught many people how to play guitar for fun, but thanks to Taylor Robinson I've been given the opportunity to make teaching my career.
