For as long as I can remember, music has played a large part in my life. By the age ten, I already knew that music would be more than just a hobby for me, it would become my career. I have been singing for over 30 years and playing piano for over 20 years. I received a BS in music industry studies with an emphasis on business, from the University of Colorado Denver in 2008. I have extensive experience in performance and the music industry as a business, and have had the pleasure of experiencing the local music scene first-hand while playing in bands. My years of experience enables my students to learn different aspects of music from the fundamentals, to writing, and even the music industry as a business. Students should expect to quickly grasp the basic skills such as proper breathing and posture, and will start singing or playing right away. I truly enjoy sharing my love of music and the industry with my students.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
We will use the Alfred series of books, the line of books within Alfred will be dependent on the age of the student. Though we will be using books, lessons will go at the necessary pace for that specific individual to make sure that they are getting the most out of each lesson. We will start playing songs right away!
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Lessons will begin with the basics of breath and posture, which are the foundation for a good singer. I use the lower costal method of breathing and will explain the differences in the types of breathing and why it is so important. Students will be guided on how to choose the right songs for their voice and will get to pick their own songs, rather than having them chosen for them and not enjoying them. We will start singing right away! Lessons will be fully customized to the individual students ability and desires so that they will get the most out of each lesson.

I have over 25 years of private voice and piano training.

I have been in several performing bands and currently work as a session singer, where people can hire me to sing on their songs.

Enjoying Lessons!
