My name is CJ and I am a guitarist and songwriter based in San Marcos, TX. I've been a practicing guitarist for the better part of two decades, and have been a songwriter and regular performer in Central Texas since 2012. I studied guitar for three years under a Berklee College of Music graduate, and have also studied piano and percussion. I employ an integrated teaching style that emphasizes theory and technique as applied to my students' musical interests. I believe learning is more effective and enjoyable when the student is allowed to have some agency in the direction of their musical education.
