Guitar Lessons, Record Engineer Produce

8? Years
I learned to play guitar at 14, and have continued playing informally for 45 years. During that time I've had a few garage bands, performed at festivals, on the radio, in stage plays and in coffee shops, and have at times been a professional recording engineer. Most guitar players I've met, I both learned something from them, and taught something to them.
Gregory C. has over 8? years of music experience in the Albuquerque area.
Gregory C. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Record Engineer Produce .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Introduction to Principles of Recording & Live Sound. Because there are so many different versions of equipment available, these first lessons focus on some universal principles that apply to any situation, no matter what equipment is used. Microphone placement, speaker placement, room acoustic behaviors, and level control/mixing for recording vs. live sound. Also, understanding signal flow through a mixing board and how to set the dozens of controls, and how to avoid problems like distortion, noise, and feedback. Beyond this, further technical lessons can be arranged as the student desires, perhaps to help the student with selecting appropriate equipment, or learning to thoroughly understand the equipment you already have.
Formal Education:
Electronics Technology
Performing Experience:
festivals, on the radio, in stage plays and coffee shops. Have recorded a couple of albums of folk music in studios and on home equipment.
Experience Teaching:
Im new to teaching formal music lessons. Informally, every time people gather to play music, I end up teaching someone something to improve their playing, and often as not, I learn something from them. Occasionally, I give a presentation about music theory & songwriting. Professionally, I taught high-school-level Media Production (TV Radio Film & Recording) for 8 years, including audio production.
