5 Years
Hi, my name is Christopher, and I am 20 years old and from Wappingers Falls New York. My musical influences include Beethoven, Led Zeppelin Demi Lovato, Greta Van Fleet, Heart, Boston and so much more. My teaching style can best be described as comfortable, friendly, informative, and always solution based. Whether it's voice or piano, when my students struggle with a high note or a piano key far out of reach, we can always devise a modification or a solution. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory, proper playing technique, understanding the staff, major and minor keys, note names and values, vocal range expansion, proper vowel placement, vocal cord anatomy, what the vocal cords do when singing, how to negotiate & modify high notes and vowels with the incorporation of learning how to find our mixed voice. I like to tell my students to practice patience. I like to remind my students, especially the ones I've had long term, I try to remind them that even though they may not notice it, they are always making progress, even if they feel as if they are stuck. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students smile and seeing their realization of making progress. I love seeing my students entirely comfortable and immersed in a lesson and the learning process. Something I teach aside from music is breathing & meditation techniques. Often students can come in from a hard day of school or struggle with personal problems. As an empath, I can always tell when a student is feeling down or worried, so we may do some grounding and breathing exercises to calm nerves, and it has proven to help with airflow when singing and vocal range expansion! I make sure every lesson my student genuinely smiles or laughs, whether I crack a joke or do something funny, I always try to lighten any tension. I primarily teach voice and piano, but I can also teach ukulele. My approach as a teacher is to have fun while making strides in lesson time. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
