Hey everybody!! I'm Jacob R. aka "Zulu" & I've been playing drums & piano for over 25yrs. I started out playing the drums for my Dad's church when I was 6yrs old & played drums throughout my grade school years in the marching band. I started playing the piano at 6yrs old as well & I began playing classical first then I transitioned into gospel, blues & then my favorite which is jazz. I've studied with the great Arlington Jones & I was in the jazz program at UNT in Denton, TX. I love music & the ability to speak through different instruments. I look forward to helping my students find their voice & personal sound through their music.

I went to Cedar Valley College & studied with jazz pianist Arlington Jones & I also attended UNT in Denton, TX for their jazz studies on piano program.
Private Education:
I've taken private piano lessons with Arlington Jones, Caleb McCampbell & a few others. They really helped me understand the music theory & technique of playing the piano.
Performing Experience:
25yrs of performing on piano & drums. I've played for numerous gospel artists, R&B artists & jazz artists.
