Angelina S.

Angelina, who prefers to go by Mangie, has always had a deep passion for music. She believes it's the most important art form there is, because it allows one to get in touch with their emotions in new and healthy ways. From ages 11-14, she participated in a local talent group and was contracted to sing at South Florida charity balls, parades, fairs, pageants, parties, restaurants, competitions, and more. Singing has always come naturally to her, so she's constantly looking for new ways to challenge herself and bring her vocals to the next level. Currently she's getting acclimated to her new community and making connections in hopes of returning to performance. In addition to vocals, Mangie picked up the trombone around age 11 as well, and still plays today. She has performed in a number of ensembles, including wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, indoor winds, and indoor percussion. In some performances she both played the trombone or baritone *and* sang! She is always looking for an opportunity to join an ensemble on low brass, as well as to teach others what she knows about the coolest instrument in the band.
