Alison has always loved music from an early age. She began playing the violin at the age of six and continued her education by receiving private violin lessons, participating in the orchestra at her school and that her violin teacher coordinated, and went on to college for music education. Her musical influences include all of her amazing violin teachers throughout her school career. Alison's favorite thing about music is the emotion and passion you feel when you perform and her favorite thing about teaching music is the community she can build and the irreplaceable relationships she forms with her students. One of her favorite teaching experiences was when her and a previous student had worked really hard on a piece that was challenging to them, but was able to overcome the challenge and perform it for their family at a recital.
