Review About Me
I'm a 32 year old guitar/bass teacher. I have been teaching professionally recently for the past 8-9 years. I would like to teach young children and teenagers, although I'm open to adult students if they are committed to learning. I play a variety of genres, and I've done a lot of jazz guitar study, learning chord-note techniques a la Joe Pass. I have done a lot of additional work in the rock/punk genre. Everything from noise punk (like Fugazi) to straight rock (like Stone Temple Pilots). I've played in local bands, including Sound of Silence and Hexed.
Jacob Ot.- has over 9 years of music experience in the Sterling area.
Jacob Ot.- is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
Studied jazz and classical extensivly at Chopticon High School in Helen, MD (varisty letter in jazz, marching, and symphonic bands). Studied history of jazz and classical music at the College of Southern MD in Laplata. Studied music business at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
Performing Experience:
I played in various jazz and rock groups through high school and college. I currently play with a group doing wedding gigs and events. We play a broad range of genres from the Dobbie Brothers to Alicia Keys.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching professionally for approximately 9 years. I am hoping to gain some new students here in Northern VA.
