I have always loved music from an early age. I began playing clarinet and piano/keyboard at the age of 10 and continued my education by obtaining my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Secondary Education/Music. My musical influences include Jazz greats such as Benny Goodman and Art Tatum. My favorite thing about music is composing, performing, and teaching, and my favorite thing about teaching music is watching the students grow. One of my favorite teaching experiences was when a student of mine had a light bulb go off in their head and suddenly everything that they had practice clicked, and that made the music they were performing much easier. When taking lessons with me you can expect a positive attitude, professional behavior, and a drive to push students to their limits to grow as people and musicians. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner -
Rhythms, polyrhythms, paradiddles, sticking techniques.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Scales, chords, fingerings, CAGED system and spider walk.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Students should expect scales to practice scales, arpeggios, chords, and then play songs.

Performing Experience:
I have played clarinet in Band since 2010 (5th grade). I played clarinet in Concert Band in Junior High all of the way through high school, and I played it in Pep Band in high school. I also played clarinet for one year in Jazz Band. I have played clarinet in Concert Band at Mesa Community College from August 2018 to current. I also played Clarinet and Saxophone in the Jazz Band at Mesa Community College for two years. I have played guitar at the ASU Mariachi Band from January 2023 to current.
