Hi, my name is Fernando and I am a professional singer-songwriter, multi instrumentalist and producer from Washington DC. I have been a student of music for 30 years. My musical influences include blues, folk, rock, soul, funk, reggae, hip hop, pop, country, EDM and I also enjoy most original music. My teaching style can best be described as extremely patient and fun. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that we all learn at different speeds and in different ways, but we must learn. In my lessons, you can expect to learn at least 1 song on guitar or bass by the first 2 hours of instruction, while drums, singing, and music production can take a little longer. I like to tell my students, practice makes perfect. We can only be as good as we want to be. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students advance and develop their own unique style. My favorite performance was in Buenos Aires Argentina around 2013. My students love that I am an accomplished artist, and that I can rap or sing in different languages. I primarily teach acoustic guitar, but I can also teach electric guitar, acoustic or electric bass, drums, percussion, ear training, vocal and singing lessons, as well as beat making, sound design, and music production in general.
