Greetings, I began studying music at the age of 7 and by the age of 15, I joined the Musicians Union started my music career playing professionally at venues throughout the region. My studies were focused on classical and jazz, but I also played in numerous rock, country, blues and folk bands throughout the years. My approach to teaching guitar focuses on the structure of the instrument so that once you gain a clear understanding of the guitar, you can play in any style of music. If you're a beginner, my goal is to have you playing songs in just a matter of a few weeks. Once you have a basic understanding and comfort with the instrument, I'll take you in any direction you wish to go-no matter what musical style you are interested in playing. Music has been my life's work. I love teaching music because I know that music is a gift that brings a lifetime of joy. I've witnessed the physical, mental and emotional benefits that playing music can offer through my work with Military Veterans transitioning to civilian life.
