Hi, my name is Ben; I am a Producer/ Musician from Minnesota. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include genres like pop, hip hop, jazz & indie rock and I also enjoy tons of other genres that I'm not as proficient with. My teaching style can best be described as technically productive while laid back. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I dig the fundamentals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics to intermediate musical skills that will help get your production skills, bass playing or keyboard chops smoother than they already may be. I like to tell my students 15 minutes a day makes the crowd go “Ayeee”. My favorite thing about teaching is helping students overcome their roadblocks. My favorite performance is “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” by Prince, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne & Steve Winwood at the 2004 Induction Ceremony for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. My students love that I enjoy modern music along with the oldies. I primarily teach basics and fundamental skills, but I can also teach some intermediate & advanced students. My approach as a teacher is to teach skills that work for not only the instrument at hand but what will hopefully translate to other instruments. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
