Jon Harrisonis a Los Angeles-based writer/producer/musician by way of Dallas, Texas. He is the youngest son of Stax icon Johnnie. At 15, Jon started singing lead vocals and playing guitar in rock bands and continued to lead groups throughout college. After moving to Los Angeles, Jon spent much of his time recording and traveling the world as a professional lead guitarist on Sony/Epic and Interscope, where he worked with Robin Thicke. He has played shows across the US and Europe and has appeared on Ellen, Soul Train, Top of the Pops, and more. After years on the road,decided to refocus his energies and focus on recording and producing. Jon Continues to write, record, and produce beats as well as songs for sync and artist releases.

My teaching style is to meet the students where they are. I communicate with them to determine what level they are on and what their goals are. Some guitar students want to cover their favorite songs, some want shred. I am here to get them where they want to go.
Formal Education:
I began studying music in 5th grade as a guitarist in Jazz Band. I went on to study at Austin College before moving to LA to work as a guitarist full-time
Private Education:
I took lessons on an off throughout grade school and high school.
Performing Experience:
I worked as a studio and touring guitarist for over 15 years supporting major label artists on Interscope, Sony/Epic, and more.
Experience Teaching:
I began teaching in college, working with K-5 kids at a YMCA. I started teaching adults 17 years ago, tailoring each lesson plan to the students level and goals.
