Zachary began playing bass at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by performing in many genres including classical, jazz, and bluegrass. He gained performance experience in the central Florida area by playing with acts such as The Applebutter Express, The Brian Sutherland Band, and We Three Strings. Though Zachary can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz and classical, which had a great influence on his style of playing. Zachary loves music because of the joy it brings to players and listeners alike and loves teaching music to help students understand the performing arts.
