Dawn has always loved music from an early age. She began playing and singing at the age of 4 and continued her education by getting her Bachelor of Arts in Music, and her Master of Arts in Vocal Performance and Music Theory. Additionally, she plays the flute and harmonica. Her musical influences include classical, contemporary Christian, and pop music. Dawn's favorite thing about music is the ability to express herself through piano and voice, and her favorite thing about teaching music is helping others develop that ability and confidence in themselves. One of her favorite teaching experiences was during her Master's studies, she was hired by the University to teach undergrad Music 101 classes to students who knew very little about music! When taking lessons with Dawn you can expect to learn the technical aspects of singing and playing properly, along with how to read and write music.
