Hi! My name is Katie, and I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH! I have been a student of music since I was 6 years old when I first began singing in choirs. My passion for singing comes from my love for storytelling, especially through the art of musical theater my favorite musicals lately are Les Miserables, Jagged Little Pill, and Wicked! I am currently in my junior year of college studying voice, as a Sacred Music major. While I am classically trained and this is my specialty, I love all genres of music and am open to whatever you would like to learn and sing! I love helping students discover their authentic voices, and I am passionate about empowering my students through voice lessons just as I have been inspired by my teachers. I am comfortable teaching basic music theory and ear training, as well as coaching through songs and helping each person unlock their full range. My teaching philosophy can best be described as tailored to the individual, at the student's pace, to educate and inspire joy. I especially love teaching students early in their singing journey, as this is a crucial time that will either foster or squash the student's love for music.
