Alexander K.

Alexander is a multi-talented musician from the Youngstown area that has been studying music essentially all of his life. From 2, he was working towards a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Youngstown State University. During his time at YSU he was a member of Dana Chorale, Voices of YSU, the YSU marching band, and their barbershop group One Acchord. He was a student composer for YSU’s acapella group Pella Penguins. He was also a member of Dana’s Opera Ensemble and Musical Theatre Ensemble. He has been studying piano since 2017; percussion since 2009; guitar since 2011; bass guitar since 2013, and has been composing music and writing songs since 2011. Over the years he has been in productions put on by the Dana School of Music, the YSU Department of Theatre, and Opera Western Reserve. At YSU he has performed in Into the Woods Cinderella's Prince, an original play by Ace Lowry The Dying Art of Eye Contact Sam, and has participated in the chorus in L’amico Fritz and Cendrillon. At Opera Western Reserve he has performed in their productions of La bohème Chorus, Roméo et Juliette Paris, Mercutio cover, MacBeth Chorus, Messenger, Cutthroat, and Madame Butterfly Imperial Commissario, Chorus. He has also played partial roles playing a character in a single scene or series of scenes such as Banquo MacBeth, Figaro Le Nozze di Figaro, Jamie The Last Five Years, and Igor Young Frankenstein.
