Review About Me
I have been playing drums since the 4th grade and have only expanded my musical abilities by learning from some great teachers in diverse musical backgrounds. I'm from Charlottesville, Virginia, home to such artists as Dave Matthews Band and Pavement. I love sharing everything I've soaked up from the the areas talents while teaching drums to you. From jamming and performing with friends to jazz band and drumline, I will incorporate everything into starting you off right on the kit or expanding on any previous knowledge behind the drums.

Lyle Be. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons .Formal Education:
I began with hand drum/ djembe lessons in the 4th grade. I entered concert, marching, and jazz bands from the 6th to12th grade. During one semester of my junior year I was able to take a class from the Jazz Drums Instructor, Robert Jospe, at the University of Virginia.
Private Education:
I took private drum lessons from 7th grade through 10th. My instructor learned from VCU jazz drums instructor, Mike Boyd, and UVA jazz drummer, Robert Jospe.
Performing Experience:
I've been in a band since middle school playing with different people in events like Battle of the Bands and a few small venues. This, of course, is not including countless school band events. I was also the drum captain for drumline at football games, lots of jazz band gigs, and also concert band performances since the 6th grade.
Experience Teaching:
I was always in teaching mode, helping the younger students throughout high school, but in my junior year I began doing my own lessons for a few students. As a side note I was also a counselor at camp for K-2nd graders. This background is import because it prepared me for working with and teaching kids. I find much enjoyment from it.
