Hi, my name is Justin and I am a guitarist from Salt Lake City, UT. I have been a student of music for 26 years. My musical influences include Rock, Metal, Funk, Hip-Hop and I also enjoy Classical. My teaching style can best be described as non-traditional and fun/freedom-based. Music is FUN! So that is where I like to start. When I took guitar lessons in school I did not have fun and took no interest after that class. It was about 2 years later when I heard my good friend playing music on a guitar that I actually liked and immediately wanted to try it myself. That was 2 decades ago and I haven't put it down since. I can and will show you what it takes to get to where you want to be but I never forget to aim for the enjoyment of the art.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Let’s have fun! A positive attitude is paramount to any kind of success. No need to feel insecure, we all started in the same spot. Always have a pencil and notebook/folder. Bring a tuner or get an app for your phone (there are plenty of free ones). Think about what you might want to learn the days you have lessons. I have a curriculum starting with fretboard work or rhythm guitar but having goals in mind is important.

Received 2 years of private instruction from a local SLC musician with a degree from U of U. Prior to that I gained 20 years of self taught experience.
