Michael has always loved music from an early age. He began playing Guitar at the age of 10 and by the end of High School added Bass, Drums, Piano, Trombone and Trumpet to his repertoire! He continued his education at Indian River State College and even went on to perform around the world sailing on cruise ships! His musical influences include all the guitar greats Santana, Prince, Van Halen, Guthrie Govan etc as well as jazz giants Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, Arturo Sandoval, Wynton Marsalis etc and everything in between from Aretha Franklin to ZZ Top! Michael's favorite thing about music is that it is a universal language and his favorite thing about teaching music is seeing the lightbulbs light up when someone becomes fluent in it. One of his favorite teaching experiences was seeing a student nail a performance that they practiced very hard for.
