Savannah began playing guitar at the age of eight years old and singing at the age of four. Over the years, she developed her skills further by playing alongside her father and shadowing some of his gigs. She then went on to take part in numerous productions in both public school and college, as well as community events. She gained performance experience in the area by playing at such venues as The Casements, Museum of Arts and Sciences, Beach Bucket, Hard Rock Hotel, and more! Though Savannah is knowledgeable in different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are rhythm and blues, pop, and soul – all of which have great influence on her style of playing. Savannah loves music because it is expansive in the mind, body, and spirit. After all music was our first language as humans. Before speaking there was a creative sound. Teaching is a wonderful and powerful tool to cultivate both communication and skill. Her love of teaching flourishes in “lightbulb” moments with her students.
