Charles began playing music and taking lessons for guitar at the tender age of 5 years old. I performed my first recital at the age of 6. Charles began playing alto saxophone at age 10 and was immediately good at playing the saxophone and exceed all of his peers at an early age. After competing for the Iowa State Jazz championship and winning 1st place and votes “outstanding soloist” on Tenor Saxophone. Charles then went on to attend the University of North Texas as a music major and helped start a very popular jazz band in the DFW area. Now working in sync music licensing for hip hop and r&b instrumentals, I now focus on teaching hip hop and rnb production teaching skills for the Akai MPC series of drum machines and FL studio production. We teach you how to sample and chop, how to arrange tracks and how to read music in order to understand chords and key progressions for most music. We also help you with songwriting and song structure to make your music productions more professional. We also teach you how to use live musicians to create music with drum machine programming and live instruments.
