Joseph began playing classical piano at the age of 5. Over the years, he developed his skills further by learning trumpet and jazz piano at 11. He gained performance experience in Florida and Ohio by playing at jazz clubs, concert halls, art museums, and jazz festivals, and learning from musicians such as Theo Croker and Bobby Floyd. Though Joseph can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz and classical, which had great influence on his style of playing. Joseph loves music because it is an outlet for his creativity and loves teaching music because he wants to brighten a student's day and help them see the beauty in the arts.
