Hey! My name is Vanessa, and I’m a singer, songwriter, producer and I play the piano! I’ve been playing the piano since I was 2, and I’ve been singing ever since. Music has always been a part of me, and I look forward to sharing that aspect by teaching you all of what I’ve learned over time! What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to learn the basics of studio production and learn how to apply it in their own life. Students will learn the fundamentals of which software/DAW to use, how to get a basic decent-sounding recording, and learn basic techniques such as to improve their skills on mixing and mastering a song when it's done. After each progressing lesson, students will be able to record a basic song and understand the difference between mixing and mastering.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to master the unique quality of their own voice after each progressing lesson. Students will learn how to use different voice positions-such as head voice and chest voice. Students will learn the basics of a good performance, and will also learn helpful breathing techniques and warm ups.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students should expect to be able to express themselves in a creative way that designates what they are trying to display, through the art form of song writing! Students will learn different writing techniques and learn about the basic structure of a song. After each progressing lesson, students will be able to write their own songs efficiently.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to become comfortable and familiar with the piano after each lesson. Students will learn the proper hand positions, learn how to read basic sheet music, simple time signatures and piano scales. Students should also expect to learn how to play the piano more open and freely, after each progressing lesson. I teach the basics, but I also teach students how to unlock the emotional aspect of playing the piano. Students will be able to express themselves creatively by translating their emotions into song. I will also touch up on areas such as improvisation, ear playing and relative pitch!

Formal Education:

Vanessa has an Associates in Science in the Music Industry Recording Arts program, and is also a certified sound engineer and producer.

Performing Experience:

Vanessa has experience in audtioning for shows like America's Got Talent and American Idol. She also has experience in singing the National Anthem for the Tampa Bay Rays, the Tampa Bay Rowdies and the Tampa Bay Vipers! She also has experience from a professional recording studio with excellent teachers, learning the basic fundamentals of how to record, produce and master a great sounding song!
