Josiah began playing saxophone at the age of 9. Over the years, he developed his skills further by being in various bands. He gained performance experience by playing solos, duets, and concerts at churches, music stores, theaters, and community events. Though Josiah can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz, blues, symphonic, and Lofi, which had great influence on his style of playing. Josiah loves music because he believes it is a whole language to portray to people and loves teaching music because of how he can connect with his students. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Josiah can help you expand and enhance your playing. Josiah is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate

Formal Education:
Josiah has earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering from San Diego State. Although his background is civil engineering, he has taken a few music classes to emphasize his hobby.
Private Education:
Josiah attended two private schools from 6th through 12th grade and graduated with honors and salutatorian recognition.
Performing Experience:
Josiah has played many piano and saxophone solos, duets, competitions, and concert band performances for over 15 years. Throughout his time he has increased mastery and skills to impress the community. He is willing to teach players of all levels to prepare for public recitals and to gain the confidence needed as performers.
Experience Teaching:
Teaching students is always fun when they learn from you. Josiah has taught only two students so far but is willing to continue teaching to gain more experience and understand the many backgrounds of students.
