From a young age, I was captivated by guitars—I couldn’t stop drawing them. My older brother’s obsession with Motley Crüe and KISS introduced me to Mick Mars and Ace Frehley, and I was hooked. I begged my parents for a guitar, but money was tight. Determined, I saved up my own money bussing tables and finally bought my first guitar: a junky Harmony acoustic from my mom’s lifestyle magazine that couldn’t stay in tune. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine, and it was the start of a lifelong journey. In high school, my friends and I started a band called Psychosis yes, cringe-worthy, playing covers of Bush, Weezer, and Pearl Jam. We weren’t great, but those nights spent making music together are some of the fondest memories of my life. It taught me the joy of collaboration and the magic of creating music with others. As I continued playing, my influences grew. From the alternative rock of the 90s to blues legends like Robert Johnson and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and then to jazz greats like Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrell, I kept expanding my musical horizons. For an entire year, I obsessed over the Allman Brothers—while Duane was the standout for many, Dickey Betts became my personal favorite. And of course, the iconic playing of Jimmy Page and David Gilmour always inspired me. Now, I’m ready to share that passion with others. Whether you’re just starting or want to refine your skills, I’m here to help you find your own style and influences. Music is a way to express yourself authentically, and I want to encourage and guide you on that journey.
