Miglė Valentinavičiūtė is a professional flute player currently residing in Wisconsin with over 15 years of experience, known for her dedication to the art of flute performance. She is on the verge of completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, where she has studied under the esteemed flute professor Tatiana Pearson. Miglė‘s musical journey has been enriched by the guidance of several distinguished flute teachers, including Irma Paurienė, virtoso Justinas Mačys, and Hideko Amano. Their diverse teaching styles and profound expertise have distinctly influenced Miglė‘s development as a versatile and expressive performer whether it is a classical genre or jazz elements. She also won several prestigious 1st place prizes in competitions such as Erik Satie International Competition, and Bach International Music Competition. Her exceptional performance earned her this notable recognition. This award highlights her profound commitment to and excellence in music, reflecting her unique artistic vision and dedication. Miglė has been invited to participate in several masterworks ranging from Beethoven‘s “Choral Symphony” to Wynton Marsalis’s “Abyssinian Mass” by top level directors. In addition to her performance career, Miglė is a passionate and experienced music educator, specializing primarily in flute instruction but also offering piano lessons. She has been teaching privately for several years, as well as taking part in teaching in a classroom, demonstrating a keen ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels. Her teaching philosophy revolves around creating individualized lesson plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each student, fostering both their technical proficiency and artistic self-expression.
