Wade began playing drums at the age of eleven Over the years, he developed his skills further by studying jazz at the University of Texas at Austin. He has also studied with many world-class musicians including Mark Guiliana, Ari Hoenig, and Matt Johnson. He gained performance experience in the Austin area by playing at such venues as The Mohawk, The Parish, Monk's Jazz Club, and other local venues. Though Wade can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are fusion and funk, which greatly influenced his style of playing. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Wade can help you expand and enhance your playing. Wade is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
We will work on ear-training (learning by ear), technique, reading, coordination, and we will learn songs that the student wants to learn as well as songs that I think will challenge them and help them grow as musicians. My lessons are foundational, no matter the student's preferred style of music; they will be able to carry over what they have learned regardless of how their taste in music changes.
