I’m a guitarist with 20+ years of experience in blues, rock, and metal. I teach beginner to intermediate players with a focus on technique, music theory, and playing music that interests you.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
My lessons focus on the individual student. I base lessons on the student's playing level, interests, and goals. I try to introduce music theory in a way that is practical and helps the student to demystify the instrument and also to really understand what they are playing.
Formal Education:
M.A.-Philosophy Indiana University; B.S. Psychology-Purdue University
Private Education:
20 years of self taught guitar; 1 semester songwriting course with Sue Ennis (co-writer with band Heart); Private study with J. Loren of major label rock band Hurt
Performing Experience:
I have performed in live band settings off and on for 15 years. Most recently I performed in bars and coffee shops as a solo singer songwriter in Seattle.
Experience Teaching:
School of Rock Issaquah Washington; Private lessons off an on since 2015.
