What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I teach drum set as well as orchestral and battery percussion. I believe it is important for a student to want to practice and understand what practice is as a fundamental concept. I want my students to strive to be disciplined to their craft regardless of motivation. I aim to teach my students not only how to play their instrument, but also how to get the most enjoyment out of playing and practicing. I'll always make sure you have the right technique. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it does have to be good enough to prevent things like carpal tunnel and blisters. It is important to select the right material to match the skill level and personal interest of the student. My students can learn songs that they select regardless of genre, or that I select based on current level of progress and what I know about their music preferences.
