Corrina began playing classical piano at the age of 5. Over the years, she developed her skills further by songwriting, singing and learning the synthesizer. She gained performance experience in the Los Angeles and Charlotte area by playing at such venues as The Milestone, Tommy's Pub, Starlight and More! She is the founder, leader and Songwriter for her band "Lucid Dreams". Though Corrina can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical/rock/pop which have had great influence on her style of playing. Corrina loves music because nothing is better than the freedom of expression, and loves teaching music because it can help you get through anything. What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
- Intermediate
Please bring some music to play! I will understand where your knowledge/skill level is at. Have you taken lessons before? What worked or didn't work for the last music lesson that was taken. What are your muscial goals? Genre preference? Assign music books to improve finger strength/dexterity. Identify preferred music books or sheet music. Tailor a music plan that will be challenging and get you to the next level. Learn scales to match the key of the song you are trying to learn. This will help you learn the song faster. Use dynamics to help make the song beautiful.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner -
Bring your poetry and we can make them into songs. We will use music theory to create a song that reflects how you are feeling. Find a new way to express yourself!-Song Key (Major or Minor)-Chord Structure for the Verse and Chorus-Vocal Melody and lyrics-Develop a songwriting process that works for you-Avg 3-4 min song Please have at least 1 yr of playing experience on Piano or guitar.
