Hello, my name is Gabriella ! With a Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music and a diverse background as a vocalist, songwriter, and music educator, I have gained skills in artist and professional music development, communicating music theory and appreciation, and creating innovative strategies for inspiring students of all ages. I am excited about the opportunity to help students discover the language and culture of music, and teach them how to use their knowledge to help them beyond the classroom as they pursue their future careers. My passion for teaching started when I studied classical music and choral studies in high school at the Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City. Starting as a solo vocalist, I explored various facets of the music industry, deepening my appreciation for music beyond performance. My time at Berklee introduced me to a wide range of genres, including Latin American folk, alternative rock, jazz, and R&B. I actively engaged with my peers by tutoring them in sight-reading and vocal techniques, assisting renowned conductors at Lincoln Center, and performing in select choirs to raise awareness for global issues, such as the UNICEF project supporting migrant and refugee children. I also taught myself how to vocal produce and engineer in recording sessions, which allowed me to take my talents into different rooms and areas of the industry. It was important for me to use music to translate emotions into action, and to inspire change in every area I could access. Some highlights from my relevant experiences in teaching Graduate level online songwriting and toplining courses alongside the chairman of the Berklee College of Music, which is now part of the required curriculum for the online Master’s course in Songwriting-training students in neighborhoods ages 5-21 in areas such as introduction to guitar, vocal care and anatomy, and introduction to songwriting— skills that supported their development for college and musical theatre auditions My belief is that music education isn’t just about teaching rhythms and scales, but about fostering a community that is eager to learn and rich with confidence in any endeavor. My mission is to make sure every student, including myself, has the resilience, agility, and creativity to discover their own capabilities and lead in their prospective careers.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Students can expect a well-rounded education with a focus on the foundations of songwriting--song structure, rhyme schemes, story development, and finding new/creative ways to capture an audience. My years of experience in writing in modern music has given me a wealth of knowledge in how to create hook-driven melodies and vulnerable lyricism that can be marketable for artists, labels, and audiences. My passion is to find creative ways to engage students in the world of music, and allow them to develop skills that will help refine their own music.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
15+ years experience in professional performances ranging from Pop, classical, R&B, and EDM genres. Students should expect to learn not only how to sing better, but to sing healthier as well. My passion is to ensure vocal longevity with future vocalists while also improving vocal technique, range, and versatility. I work in strengthening vocals for performances, and developing skills in telling stories through vocal performances through intonation, dynamics, and music theory.
