Hi! My name is Kendrick, and I have been immersed in music for more thank five years. My journey began in grade school, where I first discovered my love for creating music and started crafting my own compositions. Today, as a multi-hyphenate entertainer performing under the stage name ELLISON K., I explore various genres, including R&B, Jazz, Musical Theater, Soul, Bossa Nova, and Gospel. I am drawn to music that evokes deep emotions, offering listeners a moment of freedom and respite from life's challenges. For me, music is an offering—a gift that connects us to our shared humanity. I believe an artist's duty is to leave a positive impact on the world by using their talents to inspire and uplift others. As a vocalist, I embrace the power of our voices to take up space, tell stories, and capture the essence of life. Whenever I work other singers in a instructional way I teach them how to nurture, protect, and maximize their vocal gifts. By emphasizing the rarity and value of song, I aim to instill a deep appreciation for this extraordinary gift in every artist I work with, as a teacher and collaborator. Currently out of town for holidays. Will begin in person lessons week of 1/13. Until then all lessons are virtual.
