Hello, my name is Jerrod. I'm a professional musician based out of Stow, OH. I have toured all over the world playing bass guitar in heavy metal/hard rock bands. Furthermore, Iportance of learning fundamentals in technique and developing active listening skills to further yourself as a musician. I enjoy listening to songs and figuring them out and hope to foster that same attitude in students. My love for composition and songwriting have lead me to work with people from all over the world. I will help my students develop the communication skills and tools necessary to not only operate within a band setting but to learn how to actively contribute to songwriting in a group setting. With almost 20 years of experience playing music and appearing on stage, I hope that I can equip my students wit what they need to do the same.
Jerrod P. has over 1 years of music experience in the Stow area.
Jerrod P. is proficient in and teaches Bass Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
The student will be shown the fundamentals of building finger strength and picking technique. Both playing with a plectrum and fingerstyle will be explored. Students can expect to learn the basics of walking a scale and playing in time. Lessons will also include a section where students will play along to a provided song or one they pick. More intermediate players will learn more advanced techniques in string muting, glissando playing and finding accents. Advanced players can expect a more in depth coverage of chord stabilization and finding good "tone" for both the live space and recording. Players at this stage will be prepared to think as a part of the band and as a songwriter/performer.
