Jiavanni began singing and playing guitar at the age of 7. Over the years, she developed her skills further by attending Blue Angel Music Academy in Pensacola, Florida, attending private music lessons in El Paso, TX, as well as singing with the Burges Choir. She gained performance experience in the El Paso area by playing at such venues as El Paso Locomotives, Chihuahua stadium, UTEP Choir, EPISD summer musical and with acts such as Grease. Though Jiavanni can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are jazz, country and R&B which had great influence on her style of playing. Jiavanni loves music because it conveys complex emotions and creates a sense of community and belonging. She loves teaching music because it allows her to foster creativity and build confidence in students.
