Colton A.

Colton began playing percussion in the 4th grade. Over the years, he developed his skills further by attending the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in computer music. He gained performance experience in the greater Baltimore area, as well as south central PA where he grew up. His performances spread within a wide variety of genres such as classical, electric acoustic, classical, metal, and many forms of electronic music. Though Colton can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are metal, hyperpop, IDM, and alt rock, which had great influence on his style of playing. Colton loves music because of the community in which builds and how it becomes a way to express yourself. His loves teaching music stems from his enjoyment in seeing his students grow in something they are passionate in. Additionally, it keeps me learning more with students bringing things to my attention that I may have thought of.
