VF private instructor  Norm started drumming at the age of 15. At 17 he began studying Music Performance and Education at Grand Valley State in Michigan, during which time he also played in the Aquinas College Percussion Ensemble, concert band, marching band and played drum set in a variety of groups. At age 19 Norm got the chance to tour throughout the U.S. and Canada, averaging over 250 shows per year for several years. At age 23 he was offered a full time position at Disney's Pleasure Island playing percussion and drum set with the band Panama at the Rock n Roll Beach Club. During this period he started teaching privately here in Central Florida and breaking in to the local club scene. In March of 2014 he was added as a member of the Vic Firth Private Drum Teacher Program. Over the past couple of decades, he has played with Rocket City, Quick Change, Sixty Watt Sun, Occasional Astronauts, Papa Wheelee, and subbed with numerous others. He’s super excited to have found a home with Sound Theory and is looking forward to bringing the ROCK to our friends and family!!
