About Me
With over 25 years of experience in music education and a demonstrated passion for teaching, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the success of you or your child's music education. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to inspire and educate students from elementary school age to senior adult. My tenure at Pinellas County Schools, spanning from 1995 to 2021, provided me with a wealth of experience teaching music to students in grades K-5 and leading various choruses. Notably, I was honored to serve as the conductor for the 2007 Elementary All County Chorus and was recognized as the Elementary Music Educator of the Year for 2. My diverse experience across numerous schools, including James B. Sanderlin PK-8 IB World School, Fairmount Park Elementary, and Cypress Woods Elementary, has equipped me with a deep understanding of curriculum development and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners. Additionally, I have maintained a robust private teaching practice for voice and piano since 1976, currently at the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall. This experience has allowed me to develop strong one-on-one instructional skills and the ability to nurture individual student talents. My educational background, including a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology from Grand Canyon University, complements my hands-on teaching experience. I am experienced with various technological tools and platforms which I integrate into my teaching to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

          My Amazing Piano Teacher

I have taken piano lessons with Randy since June, 2023. His teaching style is exactly what I need. He explains music so I can understand it. He goes above and beyond our weekly lessons. He sends me music to listen to, composers to read about, and suggests other activities that could help me in my learning. Randy is a caring person and is an excellent teacher. I have had an awesome learning experience with him and will continue my lessons. I am a 75 year old student. Because of Randy, I believe it's never too late to learn a new skill.
